PRISM-NE

We are launching our regional branch for Pride and Representation in STEM Matters, PRISM-NE.

We are a group centred in the north-east of England, whose experience and expertise in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics fields has influenced and been informed by our lives as LGBTQ+ people.

We are university workers from Durham, Newcastle, and Northumbria Universities, and seeking contributors from other universities in the north-east of England. 

We are organising a workshop focusing on LGBTQ+ researchers, their work to further their respective fields, and the unique challenges they have faced and continue to face in their careers.

We are the beneficiaries of the incredible work of Dr Claire Davies at the University of Exeter on PRISM (Exeter), and thank her for generously permitting our group to share in the established name and branding.
